Wow. Thank you for that, Laura. IMHO he is still in shock and denial and this is what he is doing to try to get himself out of his own consequences.

My admittedly speculatory prediction is that he's suffering the discomfort people with narcissistic personality disorder feel when they are challenged or lose control (see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissistic_...ality_disorder). Karma is a bitch.

Thank you again, Laura. that defiantly makes sense. It would explain a lot of things. I am inclined to agree with you on this point.

Examples of narcissism in nature. There're these birds I gather must be nesting just now that reside in the trees outside the building where I work. Geez, they are touchy about anyone going in or out that door. They fly around and around you and protest vociferously. They fly up to your face.
These birds. They think the whole world is all about them. Don't they know? Don't they realize that it's all about us?

I know a response like "oh, they're just generic birds" would be completely the wrong thing to say to you. My theory is they're Brewer's blackbirds. I mean they're black, so that fits. They're about the size of a robbin. And they nest in trees. And they go screecch screech screeech screeech and fly around around you whenever you go near their tree. They dont' seem to realize that their so called tree is the property of this company!
Course, what does that mean to these birds? To them, we're what? Just some generic primates.

At least you knew enough to be sheepish about your lack of bird ID skills. See this
http://www.mbr-pwrc.usgs.gov/id/framlst/i5100id.html for info on Brewer's blackbirds.

I'm not saying that they couldn't possibly be Rusty Blackbirds, but I'm definetely leaning toward Brewer's Blackbirds. They certainly don't have the short conical beaks of your cowbird. No, the beaks of my subject are longish.

Probably not rusty blackbirds given your location. Brewer's will harass humans who have the unmitigated gall to venture into their territory. I've been pecked on my bike helmet while just cruising through their territory.
